* The first round of this years DW4/Cotswold Outdoor Adventure Race series is coming up fast (Sunday 14th March).
The venue for the first round is Edale so expect a superb combination of Dark Peak mountain biking on some classic North Derbyshire tracks
and trails as well as some very high quality moorland running to the north of Edale village itself.
Add to this a bit of navigation plus grey matter usage/brainpower with some of the control points being placed in
very "interesting/entertaining" locations and there are all the elements for the "spark" being put well and truly put back into Peak District

* The re-scheduled final round of the 2009/2010 Rab Mini-Mountain Marathon series is on Sunday 21st February in
the Macclesfield Forest/Shutlingsloe
area- if you've not run around this area before we think you'll be pleasantly surprised at
- (a) the scenery (a combination of forest and high moorland)
and
- (b) the challenging nature of the terrain i.e. it's definitely not flat!!

* Confirmed dates for the 2010 Summer evening Trailquest series are: May 5th & 20th; June 2nd & 16th; July 7th & 21st. Entry forms and more information will be on our website (trailquest page) within the next few weeks.
* Work continues apace with organising The 4th Rab Mountain Marathon on the 25th/26th September;
entries are coming in steadily and as in previous years numbers will strictly limited
* There are two adventure film festivals coming up shortly, both of which should have something to tickle your fancy
- the Hope Valley Adventure Film Festival on Saturday 27th February
- the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival on the weekend of 12th/14th March
* Well known local adventure racers and long distance bikers/runners Andy & Amanda Heading have set up an interesting
new website which not only retails a wide variety of adventure gear but also offers advice on many aspects of competing and
taking part in events
