Registration and the campsite will open at 7.00pm on the Saturday evening - if you are camping over, then drive to the campsite first, unload your gear and then move your car to the designated event car park (5 mins walk from the campsite).
Camping fees are included in the race entry; the campsite has toilets & showers. There will be light refreshments (tea. coffee, orange, biscuits) available after both the Saturday night session and the Sunday morning session but the rest of the time you will need to cater for yourself. If you do not want to camp over then please note that the last start time on Sunday morning will be 8.30.
EVENT FORMAT
The Saturday evening night session start will be at any time of your choosing from 9.30pm - 10.30pm. There will be a 2.5 hour time limit. This session will be all on foot and bikes will not be needed on the Saturday evening; headtorches with a 2.5 hour minimum battery life will be required.
The Sunday morning session will have a 4.5 hour time limit and you will be able to start at any time of your choosing from 7.30am - 8.30am. This part of the event will comprise mountain biking, running and a river crossing.
The main transition point between mountain biking and running will be at the start/finish venue at Pindale - you should however note that the river crossing is at a remote site which you can either bike or run to - please note that if you decide to bike to the river crossing point then you may wish to carry running shoes with you rather than wade and attempt a river crossing in cleated biking shoes/SPD's. You should also think about whether to carry spare clothes with you to the river crossing in case you get wet.
If you are taking part in the 3.5 hour event which is on the Sunday morning only, you can start at anytime between 8.30am - 9.30am. The shortened version of the event comprises mountain biking & running only.
The equipment as detailed in the information/entry form must be carried at all times throughout the event.
FINAL DETAILS/BRIEFING SHEET
Final event information and a more detailed briefing sheet will be handed out at registration on the Saturday evening (or on Sunday morning if you are taking part in the shorter event).
TEAM ACCELERATE will be on hand with their stall throughout the event - see their website for details - if you need anything in particular bringing then contact them on info@accelerateuk.com
